Death and Drum Pads

BILLY MAYS IS DEAD.

Hm, this is really no surprise if you're the conspiracy theory type. I'm trying to think of my own, but it isn't going so well. This is the fourth death this month. I'm waiting to hear that Michael Phelps overdosed on crack or Miley Cyrus fell (was pushed) off a cliff.

IN OTHER NEWS:

I have officially lost my drum pad. Which is really really bad, considering I should be practicing for drumline. It was a Remo Pad, so it was really loud and annoying, but I still needed to practice on. If I can't find it by the end of the day today, I wanna go out and get a RealFeel pad. They're really nice and they have the same rebound as a snare drum, so it's better to play on than a Remo.

I finally watched Poltergeist. I would be extremely scared of every clown I ever saw if it weren't for the fact that those effects are so old I was barely scared at all. Very cheesy, and the actors got on my nerves. But it's a really well done movie, even if it seems a little dated in today's day and age. AND it's Steven Spielberg. :D

ADIOS!

Don't Get Excited..

Ooh lookie! I may become consistent at blogging! NOT. I actually have something of importance today that I should probably be getting ready for, but since I am a true procrastinator at heart, I thought I'd do my second blog today.

MY SECOND OFFICIAL BLOG:

I AM FINALLY BEING SOMEWHAT RESPONSIBLE! YAY! My "band" and I are FINALLY having another rehearsal today. And this time we may actually play music. I'm thinking of trying to talk them into renaming our band...our name doesn't really sound very good. "Quiet Defense." Yup, that's it. We all really like the band Rush, so our guitarist KC came up with that idea from the lyrics of Tom Sawyer. Hm....well, I'll talk to them about it. Our "rehearsal" (if you could call it that), is gonna be at 4 o'clock til whenever my mom kicks them out. :D

We're probably gonna have my British cousin and his LADYFRIEND and my uncle over for dinner. Russell and Laura, sittin' in a tree, K-I-S-S-I-N-G! I love being an annoying little cousin. :D It's so kewl having him around cause he has an ACCENT and his arrival gives us an excuse to have a BBQ. Of course, during the party, when my cousin Erin shows up, the first thing she says is MICHAEL JACKSON'S DEAD!!! And that's all anyone was talking about the rest of the party. X.x

That is all. :)

Interesting...

So, hello. I guess it's pretty cliche to start out this way, but since I saw EVERYONE else has a blog, I thought I'd start my own. As a head's up, I'm not someone who's "responsible" and remembers to blog all the time, or "normal" in any way.

I am a lemon.

And I am a drummer.

OFFICIAL FIRST BLOG:

Hey oh, peoples oh. My summer has been absolutely perfectly almost entirely boring. Other than Tag Day and the End Of School party thing at EH's house. (See, I'm not stupid enough to put actual NAMES in here. :D) I mean, I have Summer Band, but its only for part of the day and is kinda REALLY annoying. Jazz Band WOULD be fun, but there's a bajillion and one drummers that have to share 2 sets for 3 songs. I got paired with an INCOMING 5th grader on the song called Fat Burger. The only upside of Jazz Band is, well, its still Jazz Band, and I get to hang out with DG and GW. There's High School Percussion, but Mr Hontz is so flat out rude, it's ridiculous. I'm the only snare (EEP SNARE!), and 2 of the very large group of 6 aren't even gonna be in drumline next year. The last class I'm taking is Night Band, which is basically concert band but anyone can join, even people who graduated ages ago or didn't even go to this school. It's really kewl, and it was great the first time, but when Mr Hontz came and conducted the second time, it was NO fun at all. He would flat out insult a section when they messed up, it was insane! But otherwise, it's fun, and is possibly keeping me from going insane this summer.

IN OTHER NEWS NOT REALLY PERTAINING TO MY SUMMER BOREDOM:

Michael Jackson died hours after Farrah Fawcett. That's really kinda creepy. I'm sad that Farrah died, she had been sick with cancer for a really long time, and cancer, well, REALLY SUCKS. :( MJ is quite another story. He was definitely a HUGE musical sensation, but as a person? HE MOLESTS CHILDREN. I really like his music, but he made some seriously messed up choices in life. Though what really freaks me out, is all these famous people are dying really close to each other: first Harry Kalas, then Gary Papa, now Farrah Fawcett and MJ. Hm...think of the conspiracy people could make of this! :D

Lemme know what you think of my first blog!
